Richard "Ricky" Johnston, 27, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 2, 2020.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 2, 1993, a loving son to his proud mother Sheila Johnston and father Matthew Hardy of Lowell.
He attended Lowell Public Schools and went on to work, most recently he was employed by McDonald's in Tewksbury.
Richard was outgoing, friendly, and fun. His smile would illuminate a room and his laugh was infectious. He was always happy and his presence was often desired. He enjoyed talking to everyone and spending time with his family and friends. He mostly cherished spending time with and caring for his two children. Richard also enjoyed all sports, especially football, gaming, and hiking.
Richard is survived by his mother, Sheila Johnston, his father Matthew Hardy. His two children, son Riley Dinatale and daughter Reagan Dinatale, along with their mother Nicole Dinatale of Dracut, his brother Shaun Johnston of Lowell, his sister Taylah Leakeas of Lowell, his sister Kaytlynn Leakeas of Lowell, his grandmother (Nana) Cynthia Johnston of Lowell, his god mother Kelley Johnston Byam and her husband Gregg Byam of Dracut, his aunt Michelle Johnston and companion Junior Cintron of Lowell, his uncle Joseph Johnston and companion Billie Jean Tuomi of Lowell, his uncle Keith Johnston and wife Taran Brunelle Johnston of Billerica, his aunt Kerry Levasseur of Lowell, his uncle Bernard Johnston III of California, his nephews Shaun Johnston Jr, Chance Lopez, Luidaniel Felix of Lowell, his uncle Thomas Hardy of New Hampshire, his special friend Katie Mae Stella, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was the grandson of the late Bernard Johnston of Lowell and cousin to the late Justice Johnston of Lowell, his late uncle William Christman of Lowell, and his late aunt Sam Christman Chasse of Dracut.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ricky's Life Celebration at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Thursday. Funeral Prayers will be offered at 12:00 PM in St. Joseph Cemetery.
