OBITUARY
RICHARD G. JOHNSON - Retired General Electric Manager
DRACUT- Richard G. "Dick" Johnson, 66, husband of Pat (Morin) Johnson, a resident of Dracut and Parkman, Maine, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 20, 2004 at the Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Born in Lowell on May 26, 1938, he was a son of the late Hayward G. and Dora M. (Gendreau) Johnson. He was a communicant of Ste Therese Church, Dracut and received his education in local schools. He was a 1956 graduate of Dracut High School and attended Lowell Technological Institute and MIT. He was a graduate of the General Electric Apprentice Program. Richard retired from G. E. as manager of their Everett and Lynn plants after 37 years with the company.
An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
Surviving him besides his wife are a son, Steven R. Johnson and his wife, Barbara of Pelham; a daughter, Lisa M. Wagner and her husband, Gerard of Dracut; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Rudy Koczera of Meredith, NH and Joan and Joseph Poirier of Leominster; a grandson, Keith M. Hamel of Dracut; three brothers-in-law, Bishop Roger P. Morin of New Orleans, Louisiana, James Morin and Paul Morin, both of Dracut; two sisters-in-law, Elaine and her husband, Raymond Joncas of Nashua and Susan Spellissy of Dracut; three step-grandchildren, Melissa and her husband Eric DeRosa, Tori Goulette and Mark Goulette; three step-great grandchildren, Alex Class, Taylor Goulette and Katylin DeRosa and several nieces and nephews.
