Richard H. Ouellette

December 5, 1945 — August 26, 2022

LOWELL - Richard H. Ouellette, age 76, a lifetime resident of Lowell, died Friday, August 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.  He was the beloved husband of Viviane J. (Gregoire) Ouellette, to whom he was married for 56 years.  

 

He was born in Lowell on December 5, 1945, to the late Roger and Loretta (Pelland) Ouellette. He received his education at St. Louis de France School, and was a graduate of Lowell High School. 

Previous to his retirement, Richard was employed for over 20 years as a maintenance mechanic at Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH.  Prior to that, he was employed for many years as a bookbinder at Nashua Bindery. 

He was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro, MA. 

Richard loved Sunday drives up the Maine coast, the beaches, and boating. He was most happy spending time in the company of his loving family, especially his adoring grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his kind, humble heart, selflessly assisting anyone in need, and his ability to repair just about anything.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his daughterand son-in-law, Suzanne C. and Eric Ford of Nashua, NH; his son and daughter-in-law, Donald R. and Joanna Ouellette of Hudson, NH; his four grandchildren, Andrew Ford, Matthew Ford, Natalia Ouellette and Amelia Ouellette; a brother ; Robert Ouellette and his wife Donna of Litchfield ,NH; a sister-in-law, Cecile Burke of Nashua, NH; a brother-in-law, Leo Gregoire and his wife Brenda of Chelmsford, MA; and several nieces and nephews.  He will also be sadly missed by the sisters and staff of Presentation of Mary ​Academy. 

He was predeceased by his sister, Gloria Moore, and his brother, Roger Ouellette.  

According to his wishes, there will be no visitation.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at the Parish of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro, MA on Thursday, September 8th at 10:00am, followed by his burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA
