Richard E. Germain

January 18, 1948 — November 7, 2014

Richard E. Germain passed away peacefully at home on November 7, 2014 at the age of 66. Richard was married to the love of his life Germaine (Ducharme) Germain for 44 years. Richard found pride in his two daughters Michelle and Ann Marie, as well as his three grandchildren Cody, Madison, and Sophie.
Richard was born in Lowell, Mass to the late Leopold and Cecile (Fontaine) Germain. He was a hardworking family man and was a hero to his wife and daughters alike.
Richard was a Vietnam Veteran and served our country in Vietnam as an army gunner stationed in the Central Highlands, his tour lasted 18 months. He was a journeyman in the Boston District Council 35 for 30 years, and then worked for USPS for 15 years.
Richard was an avid outdoorsman and spent a great deal of time in the woods of Pittsburgh, NH and on the waters of the Lakes Region with friends and family. He was a member of the NRA, American Legion Post 48, and Disabled American Veterans.
Richard is survived by his wife Germaine (Ducharme) Germain of Hudson, NH, his daughters Michelle (Germain) Buskey and her husband Al of Litchfield, NH, and Ann Marie (Germain) Tate and her husband Patrick of Hudson, NH. Three grandchildren Cody, Madison, and Sophie; a sister Pearl (Germain) Proulx and her husband Dennis of Dracut; his sisters-in-law Nancy (Noval) Germain of Dracut, MA, Florence LaRoche of Hampstead, NH and Dolores LeClair and her husband, Donald of Windham, NH; a dear friend Pauline Dufrense of Lowell, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his brother Donald Germain and his brother Paul Germain.
