Richard G. Doran

Richard G. Doran, the beloved husband of Sharon R. (Breault) Doran, a Dracut resident, died Tuesday April 12, 2011 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston following a lengthy illness. He was 58.
Born in Lowell on February 4, 1953, he was a son of the late Russell and Gladys (Hawkins) Doran.
Richard was employed for many years at Merrimack Warehouse as a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. His last job before becoming disabled was at BTU in Billerica as a Mechanical Assembler. He was an avid Red Sox fan, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren; particularly watching them play sports.
Surviving him besides his wife of 38 years are a daughter and son in law, Michelle and Gary Plowman Jr. of Dracut; two sons and a daughter in law, Jason Doran of Manchester, NH, Shaun and Marta Doran of Hudson, NH; brothers and sisters, Dorothy Doran of Nashua, NH, Donald Doran and his wife Dottie of Dracut, Michael Doran of Lowell, William Willett of Tyngsboro, Laurie Connolly of Lowell, Kevin Willett and his wife Cheryl of Dracut, Karen Lopes and her husband David of Lowell; four grandchildren, Kayleigh Plowman, Stephen Plowman, Ethan Doran, Bennett Doran; many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was also the brother of the late Thomas Doran.
