Richard A. Driscoll

DRACUT - Richard A. Driscoll, 91, a resident of Dracut, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne D. (Girard) Driscoll, with whom he was married 61 years ago on September 3, 1945.
Born in Lowell on July 18, 1915 he was a son of the late Mortimer and Margaret (Nolan) Driscoll.
Mr. Driscoll served with the United States Army for 3 and � years during World War II serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and was involved in the battle for the Aleutians Islands.
He retired after 33 years from the Courier Citizen Corporation.
Mr. Driscoll was a volunteer at the Dracut Council on Aging for 27 years and a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister, Mary Driscoll of Lowell; a brother-in-law, Francis Zipps of Lowell; several nieces and nephews, Paul and Chris Zipps of Aurora, CO, Nancy Lamoureux of Hudson, NH, Barbara and Don Glass of Dracut, Richard and Diane Zipps of Dracut, James and Pamela Zipps of Lowell, Judith and James Knight of Pelham, NH, Maureen and Wayne Scott of Pepperell, Laurie and Mark Brodeur of Lowell, Patsy Fauvel of Merrimack, NH; also several nieces and nephews in Maine and a niece in Littleton. He was the brother of the late Helen, John and Daniel Driscoll, Anna Bergholm and Margaret Zipps and uncle of the late Daniel Zipps and Margaret Harnois. He leaves Margaret Harnois' husband Robert of Dracut.
