Richard "Dick" A. DesRochers

Richard "Dick" A. DesRochers, Sr., 69, of Dracut, MA went to his eternal rest unexpectedly on July 12, 2015. He was the son of Gerald and Florence (St. Onge) DesRochers, born on September 29, 1945.

Richard graduated from St. Joseph's Boys High School in Lowell, MA. He was known by many in his earlier years as a cookware salesman, but he went on to broker insurance with three of his sons in Dracut, MA. His involvement in the community included a president role in the Rotary club, and membership in St. Mary Magdelen Parish in Tyngsboro, MA. He was a also a proud card carrying member of the Pembina Nation: the Little Shell Band.

Richard truly had an optimistic outlook on life. He loved his sons and joking around with them. He was easily described as the life of the party and his laughter made everyone smile. He enjoyed traveling, card playing, boating and the local sports teams when they were winning. His favorite place was the lake.

Richard is survived by his four sons: Daniel, Richard Jr (Pam), Paul (Denise), and Gregory DesRochers. Sixteen grandchildren all with the DesRochers surname: Joshua (Ashley), Dale (Elizabeth), Ashley, Jacob, Emily, Nathan, Jared, Julianna; Courtney, Kristen; Trevor, Lindsey, Caleb, Annissa, Ashlynn; and Sean. As well as three great grandchildren: Jackson, Rene, and Allie. He is also survived by his brothers Roger and Michael DesRochers, and a sister Jeanine Szax. His former spouses include Claudia Russell, and the late Gloria DesRochers; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers Claude, Robert, and a grandson Benjamin. As per Richard's request, there will be no service.
