LOWELL - Richard C. "Butch" Couture, 64, a resident of the Highlands section of the city, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ruth A. (O'Connell) Couture.
Born in Lowell on November 13, 1943, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Aurore Doris (Chateauneuf) Couture. He was also predeceased by his step-father, Francis Feeney.
Along with his brother Don, Mr. Couture was employed as a painting contractor for over 40 years with Couture Painting Company.
He enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Rockingham Park. Most importantly, he cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife he leaves four sons, Richard M., Thomas F., Christopher D. and William B. Couture, all of Lowell; two brothers, Donald Couture of Dracut and Robert Couture of Wilmington; also several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a brother of the late Roger and Jackie Couture.
