TYNGSBORO, MA - Richard A. “Dick” Bourassa, age 67, a resident of Tyngsboro, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. He was the loving husband of Doris M. (Lefebvre) Bourassa with whom he would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on August 26, 2011.
Born in Lowell on October 25, 1943, he was a son of the late Alfred H. and Laura A. (Dery) Bourassa.
Prior to his retirement, Richard worked as a truck driver and was employed by Yellow Transportation Company (YRC) of N. Reading, MA and was an Honorary Retired Member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 25.
Richard was an avid New England sports fan; his interests included cars, cribbage, trains, and bowling. He loved life and enjoyed the company of family and friends.
Besides his wife, he leaves his two sons, Steven R. Bourassa and Brian R. Bourassa, both of Tyngsboro; two brothers, William H. Bourassa and his wife Jeanne of Tyngsboro and Joseph P. Bourassa and his wife Deborah A. of PA; four sisters, Janet M. Brady of NH, Diane Carbonneau of NJ, Denise Aldana of CA, and Carol Anne Succa of CA; also several nieces and nephews. Richard was the brother of the late Jacqueline Lynch.
