LOWELL – Richard R. "Dick" Beaudoin, 68, a longtime resident of Lowell died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Pelland) (Beaulieu) Beaudoin with whom he would have celebrated 17 years of marriage on May 15th.
He was born in Lowell on March 22, 1948, and was the son of the late Roland and Cecile (Roy)Beaudoin. He received his education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of St. Louis Grammar School and St. Joseph High School for Boys. He also earned an associate degree from Lowell Technological Institute.
Dick served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
He was employed for 46 years by Interstate Container Lowell. Earlier in life he had worked for the family business, Beaudoin Market in the Little Canada section of Lowell.
In his free time, Dick enjoyed bowling, bass fishing, quilting, and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sisters, Pearl Racette and her partner Cheryl Proia of AZ and Constance "Connie" Raymond and her husband Francis of Lowell; a step-son, Matthew Beaulieu of Grafton; a step-daughter, Danielle Eddleman and her husband Stephen of Cypress, TX; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Griffin, and Raine; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
