Dracut - Rene L. Proulx, 76, husband of Simone L. (Trudel) Proulx, died unexpectedly Friday evening at his Dracut residence.
He was born in Lowell on December 3, 1928 a son of the late Rene J. and Florence (Miller) Proulx.
Mr. Proulx a well known local businessman was the owner and operator of Proulx Electric in Dracut for the pat 40 years. He was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d' Arc Church, and recently Ste. Therese Church. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons and daughters in law, Dennis R. and Pearl Proulx of Dracut, Kenneth A. and Judy Proulx of Carlisle, Rene L. Jr., and Laurie Proulx of Lowell; a daughter, Linda A. Proulx of Palm City, FL; a sister, Ruth Lund of Chatham; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rita Trudel and brother in law of the late William Trudel.
