Rena L. Roberge

Lowell - Rena L. (Giroux) Roberge, 98, wife of the late Wilfrid A. "Fido" Roberge, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Monday following a brief illness.
She was born in Lowell on February 12, 1909, a daughter of the late Dolphis and Delia (Renaud) Giroux.
Rena was employed for many years at Hub Hosiery and later was a waitress at the former Hunter's Haven and Yorick Club.
A communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church and currently Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish. Rena was a member and past president of the Dracut Senior Citizen Club, a member and past president of the Centralville Senior Citizen Club and until recently was the clubs recording secretary, a member and past president of the D'Youville Senior Care, Ladies Guild, and was a former Foster Grandparent at the Dracut Middle School for twenty years.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Leonore R. and Maurice Ouellette of Lowell; a son and daughter in law, Ronald M. and Jacqueline(Draper) Roberge of Dracut; a daughter in law, Beverly (Fleury) Roberge of Lowell; eleven grandchildren, Dawn Brough, Russell Roberge, Cheryl Turgeon, Scott Roberge, Doug Roberge, Kim Gaudette, Valerie Gauthier, Dana Roberge, Danielle Gault, David Sancartier, Keith Roberge; two step grandchildren, Leo J. Ouellette, and Felice Ouellette; twenty one great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; one sister in law, Lee Roberge of Mont Vernon, NH; many nieces and nephews including a dear and devoted niece and friend Connie Tropeano of Dracut. She was also the mother of the late Richard L. Roberge, grandmother of the late Darren Roberge, and sister of the late Romuald Giroux, Aurore Parent, Estelle Giroux, Jeanne Foucre, Herve Giroux, and Rodrique Giroux.
