Obituary
Billerica - Rena E. (Menard) Gendreau, 72, a resident of Billerica, died Friday morning, January 20, 2006 at her home.
Born in Lowell on December 13, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Carmeline (Payer) Menard.
Mrs. Gendreau was a graduate of St. Louis Parochial School and St. Louis Academy.
A former resident of the Centralville section of Lowell she attended the former St. Louis de France Church.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Lowell Police Department as a Traffic Supervisor. In her spare time, she volunteered for C.T.I. at D'Youville Senior Care.
Mrs. Gendreau is survived by three daughters, Patricia Netto of Billerica, with whom she resided, Deborah Clark of Manchester, NH and Janet Siebert of Lowell; five sons, Jack Nelson of TN, Michael Nelson and his wife Daisy of OK, Robert Nelson and his wife Caroline of OK, Richard Nelson of Manchester, NH and Stephen Nelson and his wife Holly of TN; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Robert Walls and his wife Priscilla of Nashua, NH; and dear friends, Frances Berube of Salem, NH and Douglas Crane of Burlington. She was the sister of the late Vivian Menard and Lorraine Walls.
