OBITUARY
LOWELL - Real F. Betty Sr., 56, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center. He was the husband of Donna M. (Courtemanche) Betty.
Born in Lowell on May 18, 1949, he was a son of the late Real A. Betty and Florence (McGaunn) Betty of Lowell who survives him.
Prior to his illness, Mr. Betty was employed by Courier Westford. He was a communicant of St. Rita Church.
Active in youth baseball, he was the past president of the A.Y.O. Little League and also coached for 19 years.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Real F. and Nancy E. (Vail) Betty Jr. of Lowell and Daniel G. Betty of Nashua, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Renee M. and David L. Sword of Tyngsboro; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rita T. LeMay of Lowell and Joan and Roger Bergeron of Chelmsford; six grandchildren, Taylor Garrett Gendron of Tyngsboro, Olivia Ann Betty, Adam Francis Betty and Steven James Betty, all of Lowell, Jacob David Sword and Reina Lindsay Sword, both of Tyngsboro; his mother-in-law, Anna Courtemanche of Dracut; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Roger Bouchard of Lowell, Norman Courtemanche of Lowell and Diane and Richard Zipps of Dracut; also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Shirley Bouchard and son-in-law of the late Roger Courtemanche.
