Raymond F. Woodman, son of the late Mary and Harold Woodman passed away peacefully in his Dracut home on Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was born on October 20, 1946 In Salem, Massachusetts.
Ray proudly served for six years in the US Navy and 22 years in the US Army National Guard. He was a proud member of the Navy Seabees and fought along with his brothers in Vietnam as a steel worker. His service was an immense source of pride for both he and his family.
Following his military service, Ray worked for 24 years at Polaroid in Cambridge. He followed that with 12 years at Niacol in Ashland, as a chemical lab technician. Ray was an avid golfer who looked forward to his rounds at Lodonderry Country Club abd West Point.
His absence will be felt by his family and friends who could always count on Ray for a story, joke, or just his constantly happy demeanor. He is survived by his wife Germain Woodman; his son Jonathen and his wife Christina; stepson Rodney Lacroix and his wife Kerri; and his six grandchildren, Jordan and Brendan Woodman, Payton and Cameron Lacroix, Evan and Ashlyn Silva; He leaves many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was the father of the late Scott Woodman.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ray's Life Celebration on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray's memory may be made to the Lowell Transitional Living Center, 193 Middlesex Street. Lowell, MA 01852.
