Raymond R. Stirk, a lifelong Lowell resident and beloved husband of Diane Dufresne, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 4, 2017. He was 64.
Ray was born in Lowell on February 27, 1953, a son of the late William and Theresa (Mallette) Stirk.
He was educated in Lowell and prior to his retirement had worked for many years at the Tewksbury Hospital.
Ray enjoyed fishing, visiting the casinos in Connecticut and the former Rockingham Park. He loved spending time in his garden tending to his vegetables.
Surviving him besides his wife Diane are two children, Lisa Stirk of Lowell, Raymond Borges of TX; three stepchildren, Catherine Martin of Pelham, NH, Arthur Dufresne of Dracut, Denise Cloutier of Dracut; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings and their spouses, Priscilla and Clarence James of Hudson, NH, William and Cheryl Stirk of Andover, Twins, Tracy Stirk of Merrimack, NH, Thomas Stirk of Chelmsford; and several nieces and nephews.
