Raymond P. Savary, 90, a longtime Dracut resident died Tuesday November 25, 2014 at Willow Manor in Lowell. He was the loving husband of the late Therese C. (Gadoury) Savary.
Born in Lowell on December 11, 1923, he was a son of the late Arthur and Melanise (Arpin) Savary.
Raymond proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. For 32 years he was employed by Raytheon. He was a former member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks and also a former member at Mt. Pleasant Golf Club. Raymond enjoyed sports of all kinds including golf and baseball and was an avid card player. He enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and was a fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Savary and his wife, Eileen of Lowell, David Savary and his wife, Debbie of Bedford, NH; his grandchildren, Alex, James, Daniel, Leigh, Lauren and Jessica Savary; many nieces and nephews including Yvette Turcotte of Dracut. He was the father of the late Janet Savary and brother of the late Leo Savary, Joseph Savary and Emma Gilbert.
