Raymond Joseph Richard, 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28th at home with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Mary Katherine (O'Connell) Richard, to whom he was married for 37 years.
Born in Lowell on February 7, 1955, he was the son of the late Clement and Rachel (Dery) Richard. Ray graduated from Dracut High School in 1974. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for FedEx Freight.
Ray was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Meredith, NH. He enjoyed downhill skiing, kayaking, snow shoeing, and NASCAR. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by his son Raymond Joseph Richard, Jr. of New Hampton, NH; his daughter Christina Ann (Richard) Maciel and her husband Michael, of East Providence, RI; three grandchildren; Cailyn Elizabeth Richard, Mary Katherine Maciel and Gabriel Joseph Maciel; two sisters; Susan (Richard) Brady and her husband Charles, Diane (Richard) Bolduc and her husband Richard, four brothers; Paul Richard and his wife Diane, Andre Richard and his wife Joanne, Norman Richard and his wife Mary and Donald Richard and his wife Pearl, his mother in law, Christina A. O'Connell-Lambert, a sister in law; Patricia (O'Connell) Koczera and her husband Edwin, five brothers in law; Robert O'Connell and his wife Cheryl, Christopher O'Connell and his wife Mary Ellen, Paul O'Connell and his wife Linda, David O'Connell and his wife Gail, and John O'Connell, along with many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was also the son in law of the late David M. O'Connell.
