Dracut - Raymond J. Lussier, 86, widower of Annette E. (Laflamme) Lussier, a Dracut resident, died Sunday morning at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was born in Lowell on February 16, 1921, a son of the late William and Aurore (Valois) Lussier.
Mr. Lussier was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Army. He was a supervisor for Joan Fabrics Company, retiring in 1984.
Ray was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church, a member of the Franco American War Vets Post 4, the American Legion Post 87, the Centralville Social Club, the Centralville Senior Citizens Club, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and AARP.
Survivors include a son, Donald Lussier Abodeely of Fitchburg; a stepdaughter, Maureen Stott of Lowell; a step daughter in law, Lorraine Despres of Dracut, with whom he made his home; a sister Irene Cormier of Dracut; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the step father of the late Robert F. Despres.
