Raymond F. Dalphond

Chelmsford - Raymond F. Dalphond Sr., 82, beloved husband of Dorothy E. (Cox) Dalphond, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage, passed away June 6, 2008 after a heroic battle with cancer.
Born September 29, 1925, he was a son of the late Alphonse and Alice (Durand) Dalphond. He was a native of Lowell, and part time resident of Kissimmee, FL
Ray served during WW II with the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946.
He had a love for flying and held a private pilot license for many years, later his passion turned to computers.
Ray was an entrepreneur most of his life and was successful in the fast food restaurant industry. He later became involved in home building, an inventor at heart he was always searching for new ways to improve and create a more efficient building which lead to him holding several patents in the home building Industry.
Ray was a lifelong member of the LaFayette Club in Lowell.
Surviving him besides his wife are three sons and two daughters in law, Raymond, Jr. and mary Jane Dalphond of Kissimmee, FL, Richard Dalphond of Manchester, NH, Robert and Debra Dalphond of Chelmsfoprd; a daughter and son in law, Debra and Stephen Vieira of Punta Gorda, FL; three brothers and sisters in law, Leo and Tina Dalphond of Dracut, Donald and Dorothy Dalphond of Windham, NH, George and Manon Dalphond of Kansas; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
