Raymond N. Clermont

Raymond N. Clermont, 70, a resident of Dracut, but a former long time Lowell resident, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Florida Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was the husband of Patricia L. (Beattie) Clermont.
Born in Lowell on August 15, 1937, he was a son of the late Noe O. and Agnes P. (Lepore) Clermont.
Mr. Clermont was a graduate of the University of Lowell and received an engineering degree.
He had been employed by the Raytheon Corp. as an engineer, had owned Seven C's Real Estate Company and had also managed QEI of Bedford.
Mr. Clermont served with the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War.
He was the Past President of both the Dracut Kiwanis Club and the Greater Lowell Board of Realtors. He also belonged to the Chelmsford Elks and the Dracut Senior Association.
He traveled with his family for 8 years in the Middle East and Europe.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Kenneth Clermont of Turners Falls, Gary Clermont of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Glen Clermont of Dracut, Guy Clermont of Long Island, NY and Raymond N. Clermont, Jr. and his wife Karen of New York City, NY; two sisters, Constance Plante and her husband Raymond "Moe" and Mary Ann Belleau and her husband Rosario "Al" , all of Dracut; nine grandchildren, Nicolas, Sarah, Wesley, Julie, Alexandra, Allissa, Samuel, Christine and Kate; one great grandchild, Darrin; a sister-in-law, Nicole Clermont of Pittsburg, NH; also several nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Ronald Clermont and grandfather of the late Julie Clermont.
