Raymond J. Bechard

Raymond J. Bechard, 72, of Gilford, NH, died unexpectedly Saturday October 24, 2009 at the Concord Hospice House in Concord, NH. He was the beloved husband of Doris L. (Beland) Bechard with whom he would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on November 22, 2009.
Born in Lowell on September 24, 1937, he was the son of the late Arthur and Marion(Paige) Bechard.
For more than forty years, Ray and his wife were residents of Lake Shore Park in Gilford, NH. There he enjoyed a great deal of time fishing and spending time with his family that lived there. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed walking. For the past several years he has spent the winter months in St. Petersburg, Florida. He enjoyed many games of cribbage with his grandchildren. Ray's laughter and humor was unmistakable and his devotion to his loving wife and family was endless.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Victoria Ledoux of Dracut, Gloria Leccese of Derry, NH, Karen Potter and her husband, Edwin of Nashua, NH; his grandchildren, Gerard and Tanaya Ledoux, Andria Ledoux, Thomas Leccese, Krista and Anthony Hobson, Anthony Leccese, Edwin Potter, Jr., Justin Potter; a great granddaughter, Makayla Hobson; two sisters, Shirley St. Armand and Bob Miller of Chelmsford, Irene Pendergast of Lowell; brothers and sisters in law, Irene Langlois of Lowell, Robert and Lorraine Beland of FL, Leo and Denise Beland of Gilford, NH, Gloria and Roger Labrecque of Windham, William and Janet Beland of Gilford, NH; several nieces and nephews.
