Raul Souto Massacessi, the beloved 14 year old son of Ricardo and Iracema (Souto) Massacessi, died suddenly on Friday March 13, 2015.
He was born in Lowell on September 28, 2000 and resided there until moving to Dracut a few months ago.
Raul was an 8th grade student at the Richardson Middle School in Dracut.
He relished playing skate and car video games or riding bicycles with his friends. Raul was fond of fishing. He took pleasure in his aquarium and had a love of animals, especially reptiles. Raul had a love of soccer and was an avid soccer fan. Along with his Dad, he cheered for the Sport Club Corinthians Paulista of the Brazilian soccer league. They recently travelled to Jacksonville, Florida to watch them. A practical joker, Raul liked to play pranks on his family and friends.
Raul was active at the Lowell House of Prayer and participated in many church events, including the Community Christian Fellowship.
Surviving him besides his parents are his little sisters, Rafaela and Raissa Souto Massacessi; his paternal grandparents Humberto and Noilde de Fatima Massacessi; maternal grandmother, Alcina Silva Souto; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Raul was the grandson of the late Valerio Souto Sobrinho.
