- R. Annette Berube, 93, a lifelong Lowell resident, died in Lowell on March 23, 2004.
Born in Nashua, NH on February 14, 1911 she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Victoria (Olena) Berube.
A graduate of Lowell Schools, Miss Berube worked for the Lincoln Stores for many years. Following the outbreak of World War II, she went to Washington, DC where she worked for the Office of Education as a statistical clerk, retiring in 1969.
In her younger years she enjoyed traveling around the world. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church and held membership in the Legion of Mary, League of Catholic Women, Holy Rosary Sodality and Poor Claire Guild.
Her last years were spent at D'Youville Senior Care where she made many friends and was a board member of the council committee.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lorraine Berube of Dracut; a brother, Francis E. Cunningham and his wife Eleanor of FL; nieces, Linda (Berube) Arone and her husband Joseph of Lincoln, NH, Norma (Berube) Vallante and her husband Michael of Dracut, Beth (Cunningham) Goering and her husband Ronald of CA, Gail (Cunningham) MacKenzie and her husband Kim of Chelmsford, Mary Kim (Cunningham) Logan and her husband Robert of Dracut; nephews, Stephen Berube and his wife Denise of Tyngsboro, Kevin Berube of Dracut and David Cunningham and his wife Cindy of Dracut; many grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews; 2 close friends, Jim Lynch and Raymond Poitras, both of Lowell.She was a sister of the late
