DRACUT - Phyllis M. Robertson, 87, a longtime resident of Dracut Centre, passed away at Radius Northwood in Lowell, March 18, 2012.
She was born in Dracut, March 8, 1925, the daughter of the late William F. and Evelyn (Barry) Robertson.
She was educated in the Dracut school system. After graduation, she began a 50 year career at the John Hancock Insurance Company, retiring in 1993. She also had been a model for the downtown Lowell stores, Pollards and the Bon Marche.
Phyllis loved traveling in her early years. She was always very happy at the beach and enjoyed a good lobster. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden. Her special joy was welcoming all the new babies into the family.
Phyllis was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Lowell.
Surviving Phyllis are her sisters, M. Virginia Casserly and her husband, John and Janice M. Merrill both of Dracut, her nephews, Dr. Brian Casserly and his wife Celiane of Winchester, MA, William Casserly and his wife Lynn of Kensington, NH, Barry Merrill and partner Eileen Frechette of Hudson, NH, and William F. Robertson III of Corpus Christi, Texas, her nieces , Bunny Monteiro and her husband Nuno of Lowell, Robin Merrill and partner Anthony Gordon of Hillsborough, NH and a special great-niece Sara Monteiro Sallese and her husband Jonpaul of Beverly, MA. She is also survived by several cousins.
Phyllis was the sister of the late Elaine M. Robertson, William F. Robertson, Jr. who passed away in December 2011 and sister-in-law of the late Cy R. Merrill.
