Phillip Patterson

Phillip “Phil” Patterson, age 84, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born in Lowell on October 6, 1941 and was the son of the late Helen (Avchery) and Archilles Patterson.

Phil proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Prior to retiring he was a bus driver for JSC Transportation.

He was an avid golfer and lover of history. He also enjoyed playing cards, watching sports and nature programs and always had a good one liner to tell.

Phil is survived by his children, Elise Buckley of Chelmsford, Jared Patterson of Lowell and Aaron Patterson of North Chelmsford; his three grandchildren, Victoria, Kyle and Zachary; his two sisters-in-law, Anne Patterson and Helen Patterson; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

He was the brother of the late Cornelia Giles, Olga “Pat” McDowell, Dorothea Lepine, James Patterson and George Patterson.

Relatives and friends are invited to Phil’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Military Honors will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately in Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell.
