DRACUT - Philip D. Oliveria, age 68, died peacefully at home on February 1st, 2017 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Diodato Oliveria and June (Gondro) Oliveria, who recently passed away on November 26, 2016.
Phil is a Bronze Star Veteran of the Vietnam War. He also served during the Pueblo Incident in Korea, and Operations Just Cause, Desert Storm, and Desert Shield.
Phil is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Fleury-Oliveria), his three children, Scott Oliveria and his wife Sue, Michele White, and Santino Oliveria; three step-children, James Blute, Sandy Koch, and Greg Blute; his daughter-in-law, Kim Zunino; his brother-in-law, Paul Fleury; his beloved dog Fenway; his grandchildren, Tristan, Ainsley, Lauren, Sydnee, Ethan, Maddie, Bella, Ben, Helena, and Jenna; his sister, Claudia Johnston and her husband Jim; and his niece Nicole.
Phil's family would like to thank Erin from Circle Home for her care and compassion that she gave and is giving to both Philip and Jackie throughout their illnesses.
Phil will be deeply missed, but we will live on through his words and "Improvise, adapt, and overcome".
