Philip J. McLain, Jr., beloved husband of Janet D. (Ouellette) McLain passed away at his Pelham residence on Saturday, February 8, 2025, following a long battle with COPD. He was 81.

Born in Lowell on February 28, 1943, he was a son of the late Philip and Viola (Mondazzi) McLain.

Philip spent most of his life in Pelham and attended schools there. He was a self employed drywall installer owning and operating Perfection Drywall and was a member of Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Council 35. Phil was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to work outside in his yard always making it look great. He always made sure his bird feeder was filled and he looked forward to sitting on his deck watching all the different birds come by. Phil and Janet liked traveling especially to Aruba, Cancun, Las Vegas, and Florida. When at home Phil loved spending time with his beloved dog Brownie. Phil was a member of the East End Club, and he enjoyed playing cards when he was there.

Surviving him besides Janet his wife of 31 years are his daughter, Kim Marie Campbell of Pelham, NH; his grandchildren Trevor Scott Campbell of Dracut, Jared James Campbell of Pelham, NH; a great grandchild Trevor Scott Campbell, Jr.; his step children, Richard LaRocque and Lisa Cochran of Foxboro, David LaRocque and Tiffany Barkley of Seabrook, NH; step grandchildren, Nicholas LaRocque, Timothy Cochran both of Foxboro, Jasmine LaRocque of New York, Shantelle LaRocque, Stephanie LaRocque both of Hudson, NH; five step great grandchildren; a sister, Karen Pitts of NC; and several nieces and nephews. Phil was the father of the late Scott James McLain, stepfather of the late Raymond LaRocque, grandfather of the late Amanda LaRocque and brother of the late Joan Sturtevant.

Relatives and friends are invited to Phil's Life Celebration in the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street from 4 until 7 PM on Tuesday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church, 12 Main Street, Pelham, NH Burial will take place a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations cam be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
