Philip L. Greene - Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather

DRACUT - Philip L. Greene, 80, a Dracut resident, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He leaves his beloved wife, Judith (Allen) Greene, to whom he was married for 58 years.

Born in Lowell on January 4, 1944, he was a son of the late L. Philip and Ann E. (Laird) Greene.

Phil was a longtime Dracut resident and was a graduate of Dracut High School, Class of 1962. Active in Dracut affairs, he served as a Dracut Planning Board Member and was also a member of the Dracut Sewer Commission. His greatest love was coaching Pop Warner Football in Dracut.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a Liquor Salesman for Capital Distributing Company and Horizon Beverage.

Phil spent many happy years boating at Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, NH with friends and summer family.

His family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Lowell General and Tufts Medicine Care at home staff for their care and compassion during Phil’s time in their care.

In addition to his wife Judy, Phil leaves his son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Barbara Greene of Tyngsboro; two grandchildren, Jake Greene of Tyngsboro and Kaila Philbrook and her fiancé Daniel Griffin of Dracut; a sister, Patricia Ann Greene O’Donnell of Pittsfield; a brother, Robert L. Greene and his wife Connie of Midway, Utah; also several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Phil’s Life Celebration on Tuesday morning from 8 until 10 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM in St. Francis Church, Dracut. Burial in the Gibson Cemetery, Pelham, NH.
