LOWELL – Peter G. Roy, 68, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at his home.
Born in Lowell on October 8, 1945, he was a son of the late Serge A. and Rachel M. (Bosse) Roy.
Peter attended St. Joseph Elementary and was a graduate of the former St. Joseph High School.
He served with the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War until his Honorable Discharge in 1971.
He was an avid motorcycle and scooter rider, an endeavor that took him on many cross country and Mexican treks. His passion was rebuilding and restoring vintage motorcycles and scooters.
He was also an avid swimmer, Boston Celtics fan, storyteller, and could often be found at the Lowell Senior Center enjoying a game of pool.
He leaves his sister, Jeanne M. Roy and her wife Judith Deschenes of Dracut; several cousins; and many friends.
