LOWELL - Peter E. Curran, 70, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, April 15, 2022. He was the thirteenth Peter Curran, ending a long lineage of Peter Curran's.
Born in Lowell on February 22, 1952, he was a son of the late Peter F. Curran, XII and Dorothy L. (Pratt) Curran.
Peter attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School. He worked for many years at Lowell General Hospital, until he went to work at Lechmere's in the camera department located at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH.
He was an avid sports fan and loved all of the New England teams, especially the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. You could always find him wearing a shirt or cap from one of the teams.
Due to his love of music, he had an uncanny knack to spontaneously break out in song which applied to whatever occasion that was happening at the moment.
Peter leaves his sister, Pamela A. Curran of Christian Hill. He was a brother of the late Michael F. Curran and nephew of the late May E. Curran.
Relatives and friends are invited to Peter's visitation on Friday morning from 9:30 until 11:30 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Funeral Services will immediately follow in the Funeral Home. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
