Dracut

Paxson T. (Pat) Rose passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, on November 1, 1935, he was the son of the late Oliver and Viola (Ibbetson) Rose.

Paxson proudly served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. He worked as a production manager and machinery mechanic for Rosenbloom Paper and later retired from Accent Packaging. Following his retirement, Paxson relocated to Florida, where he lived for more than 25 years. He especially enjoyed boating on the Merrimack River and in the waters of Homosassa and Crystal River, Florida.

Paxson had a lifelong passion for working with his hands. He remodeled his home in Crystal River and fully restored a 1940 and a 1953 Chevy—one of which he purchased for just $25. Known for his ingenuity, when Paxson didn’t have the tool required for the job he often made the tool himself.

Paxson was the husband of the late Ronna S. (Rosenbloom) Rose and the late Priscilla (Bijol) Rose, and the partner of the late Barbara (Frankland) Calhoun. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Keith Hamilton of Dracut, and Robin and Todd Buxton of Pepperell; his grandchildren, Lindsy Lacourciere and her husband Steven, Michael Hamilton and Kayla Cintron and her daughter Kaydence Cunha; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Mary Jane Rose of Arkansas; extended family members Debbie Dussault and John Folin; her children, Corey and Michael Dussault; Sharon Ozana and Steve Landry all of Dracut; her children, Vivian and Shauna Ozana; Kathleen Mendonca of Deerfield, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. Paxson was also the brother of the late Sally Ellis.

The family would like to thank the High Point House for all their wonderful care and support.

Funeral Services will be private and held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the High Point House at 360 North Ave, Haverhill, MA 01830
