Pauline A. Lemay

Pauline A. (Desruisseaux) Lemay, 92, died Monday, June 3, 2024 at Blaire House of Tewksbury. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred H. Lemay, with whom she was married to for 59 years, until his passing in 2022.


She was born in Lowell, MA on September 9, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Irene (Rochette) (Desruisseaux) Dube and Albert Desruisseaux. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. Early in life, Pauline worked for the Union National Bank and Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union both in Lowell.


Pauline loved spending time with her family, whether going out to dinner or enjoying the holidays. She loved going on shopping trips to the mall, especially when she could buy “something special” for Stephanie. She was also an avid reader, especially fond of mystery novels.


Pauline is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Anne-Marie Rossmeisl and her husband Stephen of Pelham, NH; her granddaughter, Stephanie also of Pelham, NH; her brothers, Francis Desruisseaux and his wife Kay and Jean Desruisseaux both of Lowell; her sister, Lucille Robitaille of Lowell; her brother in-law, Robert Lemay and his wife Joanne of Mashpee; as well as several nieces and nephews.


She was the sister to the late Paul, Richard and Robert Desruisseaux and Suzanne Williams and sister-in-law to the late Marie-Anne Drouin and her husband Raymond.


The family would like to thank the entire staff of Blaire House of Tewksbury for their care, compassion and kindness for Pauline over the last few years. A special thank you to the staff of New England Hospice for their kindness, compassion and care during Pauline’s final days.


Relatives and friends are invited to Pauline’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 10:15 until 11:15 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 12 PM at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Church, Dracut. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
