Pauline A. (Clark) Keefe, 86, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away following a brief illness on Monday, July 21, 2014 at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late George T. Keefe who died on July 2, 1998 and with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Pauline met George at Fort Devens during WW¬II.
Born in Lowell on September 8, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve and James Clark. She attended the Lowell Public Schools and graduated from Lowell High School. She later worked for the Jordan Marsh Co. in Lowell. She raised her family in the Belvidere section of Lowell and was a faithful communicant of The Immaculate Conception Parish in Lowell.
Pauline leaves four sons and a daughter, Timothy G. Keefe of Lowell, MA, James P. Keefe and his wife Michiko of Concord, MA, John F. Keefe and his wife MaryJo of Lowell, MA, Mark P. Keefe and his wife Suzanne of Lowell, MA and Patricia A. (Keefe) Coffey and her husband John of Lowell, MA. She also leaves a daughter-¬in¬-law, Roberta Keefe, of Lowell, MA.
Pauline leaves her beloved grandchildren, Kathleen Keefe, Kara Keefe, Courtney Keefe, Meaghan Keefe, Caroline Coffey, Lillian Keefe, Declan Keefe, Genevieve Keefe, Bridget Keefe, Elizabeth Keefe, Abigail Keefe, John Keefe, Grace Keefe, Elsa Keefe and a great¬grandchild, Camila Coffey¬ Pang. She also leaves many dear nieces and nephews and a special friend and roommate at D'Youville, Eva Gavriel.
Pauline devoted her life to raising her children and grandchildren and was affectionately known as "Gramma". She had a flair for decorating and greatly enjoyed cooking and antiquing.
Pauline was predeceased by her sisters, Beverly (Clark) Kirwin, Phyllis (Clark) Kokinos, and MaryLou Clark.
