LOWELL - Pauline (Drouin) Grenier, 78, a longtime resident of Lowell died Friday, June 2, 2017 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was the beloved wife of Leonard Grenier, with whom she would have celebrated her 54th wedding anniversary on June 15th.
She was born in Saints-Anges, Québec, Canada on December 17, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Joseph-Eugene Drouin and the late Bernadette Perron. She received her education in Quebec schools. She taught primary school and worked at Bell Telephone before immigrating to the United States in 1966 with her husband and first-born son.
Prior to her retirement, Pauline was employed for many years as a bank teller and customer service representative by Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union and prior to that by Lowell Five. Earlier in life, she was employed for 30 years as a stitcher by Nathan Solomon Company and Shields.
She was a communicant of the previous St. Louis de France Parish in Lowell for many years, and most recently at St. Francis Parish in Dracut.
Pauline enjoyed playing cards, cooking, sudoku, and reading, but most of all she treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Sylvain Grenier and his fiancée Jeannette of Delray Beach, FL, and Steve Grenier of Hudson, NH; six grandchildren, Zachary, Olivia, Nicholas, Madaline, Mitchell, and Amanda; three brothers, Philippe Drouin and his wife Rose Cousin of Comox, British Columbia, Canada, André Drouin and his wife Micheline Poulin of Vaudreuil, Québec, Canada, and Clément Drouin and his wife Lucille Denis of Saint-Georges, Québec, Canada; two sisters, Marielle Drouin and her husband Georges Boucher of Sept-Îles, Québec, Canada, and Louisette Drouin and her husband Yvon Clusiault of Saint-Anselme, Québec, Canada; her sister-in-law, Jeanne-Marie Grenier of Beauceville, Québec, Canada; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Gerard Drouin and Collette Drouin.
