DRACUT - Pauline M. (Turcotte) Geoffroy, 82, a resident of Dracut for 51 years, died Friday, April 03, 2009 at the Lowell General Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Ernest R. Geoffroy with whom she would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 27.
Born in Lowell on January 6, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Alexina (Desfosses) Turcotte.
Mrs. Geoffroy was a communicant of the former Ste. Therese Church, currently Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut, for over 50 years.
She retired from the Northwood Convalescent Home.
Mrs. Geoffroy enjoyed crocheting, bowling, bingo, trips to Foxwoods and vacationing at Hampton Beach, NH. Mrs. Geoffroy also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Denise Waterworth and her husband Edward of Dracut; her son, Donald Geoffroy and his wife Laura Herget of Chelmsford; a sister, Florence Lafreniere of Zephyrhills, FL; five grandchildren, Tina (Lima) Gaudette and her husband Michael of Lowell, April Lima and her partner Michael Poirier of Dracut, Scott Geoffroy, Cora Mae Geoffroy and Phillip Geoffroy, all of Chelmsford; two great grandchildren Matthew and Jared Gaudette of Lowell; a step granddaughter, Melissa Shemchuk and her husband Randy of Dracut; three step great grandchildren, Crystal Marie, Ashley and Erin Shemchuk, all of Dracut; several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Lionel and Real Turcotte, Germaine Vielicka and Laurette St. Laurent.
