- Pauline T. (Lafortune) Chandonnet, 79, a longtime Tewksbury resident died Saturday October 20, 2012 at Lowell General Hospital Saints campus following a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Albert P. Chandonnet of Tewksbury with whom she recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on August 17, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Clement and Adrienne (Dufresne) Lafortune.
For many years, Pauline was a floral designer and co-owner of The Flower Basket of Dracut. She also worked alongside her brother Raymond at Flowers by Raymond & Garland. She was a parishioner at St. Williams Church in Tewksbury and a member of the Tewksbury Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Janine Hay and her husband, William of Wolfeboro, NH, Paul A. Chandonnet and his companion, Heather Magoon of Londonderry, NH, Denis L. Chandonnet and his fiancée, Denise Benthem of Tewksbury, Ronald Chandonnet and his wife, Janet of Mobile, AL, Michael Chandonnet of Tewksbury, David J. Chandonnet and his wife, Penny of Dracut; 13 grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Christopher, Joseph, Arielle, Chantelle, Christine, Cheri, Alex, Adam, Thomas, Jessalyn and Katelin; 5 great grandchildren; a brother Raymond Lafortune of Tewksbury; two sisters, Lucienne Lemieux of Derry, NH and Aurore Morrissette of Lowell. She was the sister of the late Irene Rondeau, Florence Barker, Rita Desforges, Leo Lafortune and Antonio Lafortune.
