Pauline E. (Descoteaux) Bourassa

September 10, 1926 — February 3, 2017

Pauline E. (Descoteaux) Bourassa, a Dracut resident and beloved wife of the late George F. Bourassa with whom she was married to for 60 years at the time of his death in 2009, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90.
Born in Lowell on September 10, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Maude (Hepworth) Descoteaux.
Pauline was a crafter. She especially enjoyed crochet, needlepoint, and ceramics. Pauline and George loved going on drives. They would visit Rockport and Newburyport often.
Most of all Pauline cherished the time spent with her family. She loved being surrounded by them.
Pauline's family would like to thank the staff at Northwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, particularly Kimmie and Martha for the outstanding care given to their mother during her stay there.
Her survivors include her five daughters and spouses, Karen Spall of CA, Kathy Bourassa of Tewksbury, Joyce Fontaine of Dracut, who was also Pauline's exceptional caregiver, Linda and Daniel O'Sullivan of Lowell, Robin and Scott Gallant of Methuen; seven grandchildren, Kristin Jacobsen of CA, Matthew Conley of CA, Joy and her husband Jeff Roukes of Methuen, Justin Fontaine and his partner Pamela Duffy-Bowles of Dracut, Lisa and her husband Michael Dowling of Nashua NH, Adam Fontaine and his fiance' Kim Beaulieu of Dracut, and Sarah Gallant of Methuen; five great grandchildren; a sister and brother in law, Barbara and Robert Breton of Windham; a brother in law Paul Paquette of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother in law of the late Dennis Spall and Norman Fontaine and sister of the late Thomas, Harold, and Roger Descoteaux, Jeannette Paquette, Elizabeth Kilahl, Inez Cote, Beatrice Estrella, Sylvia Descoteaux and Jane Chaput.
