Florien, LA - Pauline A. (Tupie) (Arpin) Betty, age 94, fell asleep on December 26, 2016 and woke in Jesus' arms. She was born on July 6, 1922 to the late Wilfred W. and Amanda V. ( McGauun) Arpin. She was the oldest of seven children. She lived most of her life in Lowell, Massachusetts then to New Hampshire. She was a long time member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Lowell.
She worked in the old mills in Lowell as a daupher. Most of her work was as an inspector in the mills but retired in 1987 from Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
She loved to play bingo; read books; play with her grandchildren and travel.
She is survived by her children; Therese P. and Leo J. Choquette of South Carolina; J. Robert F. and Tina Betty of California; Pauline F. and Francis A. Simoneau of Louisiana; and Charlotte S. and Jerry Schweiss of Florida. Fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Her sisters-law, Mildred (Betty) Sayer; Marge (Chartier) Arpin; Yvonne (Massicotte) Arpin; Theresa (Doucette) Arpin and a brother in -law, James O'Reilly. Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, J. Robert F. Betty Sr., her son, Paul R. Betty, her parents, five brothers, William, Henry, Emile, Robert, and Armand Arpin and her sister Irene O'Reilly.
