Paulette M. (Plante) Boucher

LOWELL - Paulette M. (Plante) Boucher, age 91, a longtime resident of Lowell died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond P. Boucher who died in 1995.

She was born in Menil-La-Tour, France on September 18, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Romeo Leo and Marguerite Marie-Ange (Weber) Plante with whom she emigrated to the United States when she was 6 years old.

Paulette spent most of her life tending to the needs of her home and family. In the early 1980's, Paulette and her husband were the owners and operators of Ray & Paulette's Diner on Gorham St. in Lowell. Later in life she worked for several years at a local bookstore.

She was a longtime, active communicant of St. Marie's Church (now Holy Family) in Lowell and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and St. Anne Sodality.

Paulette enjoyed traveling and dining out.

She is survived by two children, Mark L. Boucher and his wife Laura of Epping, NH and Lorna A. Boucher-Morgan of New York City, NY; nine grandchildren, James Boucher of Exeter, NH, Christopher Boucher and his wife Tracey of Plymouth, MA, David Boucher and his wife Ashley of Columbia, SC, Philip Dion of Dracut, Steven Dion and his wife Savanna of Manchester, NH, Kevin Dion of Lowell, Laura Akatyszewski, Ronald Lamarche, and Jeffrey Lamarche of Ossipee, NH; a son-in-law, Richard Dion of Lowell; and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Paulette was also the mother of the late June L. Dion and Linda R. Lamarche, and the sister of the late Roger Waterstreet, Irene Hughes, Jeanette Hedlund, Marguerite Sawtelle, Mary Butler, and Leo Plante, Jr..

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paulette's Funeral Service on Friday, June 3rd at 12 Noon at the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel. 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford.
