Lowell - Paul L. "Mongo" Pouliot, Sr., beloved husband of Kimberly (O'Brien)(Spiller)Pouliot, a Lowell resident, died Thursday May 21, 2009 at the Saints Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Lowell on November 9, 1946, a son of the late Joseph A. and Edna (Landry) Pouliot
Paul loved to work with leather, he also enjoyed woodworking and painting murals. He painted murals in the pediatric ward at Saints Medical Center, where he had worked in the maintenance department for the past 30 years.
Paul enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods with his brother Roland, and visiting Hampton Beach. One of his greatest joys was his motorcycle, but most of all cherished the time he spent with his family.
Surviving him besides his wife are a son and daughter in law, Paul Jr. and Cheryl of Lowell; a daughter and son in law, Pamela and Colin O'Neill of Lowell; a stepson, William O'Brien and his friend Ashley Mason of Manville, RI; two brothers and sisters in law, Roland and Gail Pouliot of Lowell, Raymond and Rachel Pouliot of Temple, NH; two sisters and a brother in law, Therese Perron of Raymond, NH, Noella and Ronald Desjardins of Lakeland, FL; four grandchildren , Amy Pouliot, Ryan Pouliot, Leah O'Neill, Sarah O'Neill; many nieces and nephews; and his special dog Scottie. He was the husband of the late JoAnn (Larose) Pouliot, and father of the late Amy Pouliot
