Paul H. Patenaude passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester, New Hampshire on Saturday morning, April 23, 2016.
He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on April 4, 1919. He was the son of Adelard and Marieanne (McGras) Patenaude. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1937. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in England and France from May, 1943 to 1946.
He and his wife Bertha moved to Florida in 1950. He worked for West India Fruit & Steamship Company at the Port of Palm Beach for 9 years then went to work as a property appraiser for the Palm Beach County Property Appraising Department and retired in 1981. At that time he and Bertha returned to New England, settling in Manchester, NH.
He was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a Past Faithful Navigator of the Fr. Andrew Doherty Assembly, West Palm Beach, Florida.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Bertha (Carpentier) Patenaude, his brothers, Raymond and Ernest, and his beloved grand-niece, Jordan Lee Patenaude.
He is survived by his niece, Kathleen Patenaude, his nephew and his wife, David and Theresa Patenaude, his grand nieces, Jessica Patenaude and Jocelyn Patenaude, his longtime companion, Pauline Simmons and her daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Simmons and Roger Guilbert and Diane and David Riddle.
