Paul P. Moreira

January 27, 1971 — November 2, 2022

DRACUT - Paul P. Moreira, age 51, a resident of Dracut died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.  He was the beloved husband of Jennifer A. (Kelleher) Moreira.  

He was born in Portland, ME on January 27, 1971, and was the son of the late Albert and Maria (Pinto) Moreira.  He received his education in Dracut schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School, class of 1989.  He also attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and Worcester State College. 

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army.  

He was employed for three decades as a mixologist at Friends Restaurant & Pub in Lowell.  During his time there, his personality shined enjoying the company of his many friends.  No matter where he was everyone would call out “Paulie”.  Paul was super fun to be around, and he was a charismatic force that will be missed by all who knew him.  

Paul was known as the Fantasy Football God, having won many championships throughout the years.  He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and loved being outdoors, whether it be riding his bike, walking or spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee and the beaches of Surfside Beach, SC and York, ME.  

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carmen and Steven Lelacheur; his grandchildren; Isla Lelacheur and Drew Lelacheur, all of Tyngsboro; his two step-children, Kyle Ziemba and Shane Ziemba, both of Dracut; and many sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paul’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm.  His Funeral  Liturgy will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Church in Dracut.  Burial in Oakland Cemetery in Dracut.  In lieu of flowers, to help support the mental health of our veterans, please consider a donation in Paul’s memory to The Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256 or at woundedwarriorproject.org
