Paul A. Martineau

Paul A. Martineau, 85, passed away after a lengthy illness at his residence on Methuen Street in Dracut where he resided in the house he built in 1967.

Born 9 June 1933 on Haverhill St. in Dracut, Mass., he was youngest child of the late Phillippe and Marie Louise (Martineau) Martineau; he leaves his wife of 63 years Therese E. (Courcy) Martineau, four children, five grandchildren, and eleven great-children.

Paul was a carpenter of Lowell Local 49 until its merger with the Lawrence local. Paul served as the financial secretary for the Carpenters' Union for a number of years retiring in 1993.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his four children: Diane Duquette, Sharon her husband Peter Wasik of Dracut, Paul Martineau of Florida, and Kenneth J. Martineau of New York City, five grandchildren: Scott Duquette and his wife Lindsey, Dennis Duquette and his wife Jessica, Alicia Duquette, Stacy and her husband Christopher Sanzo, and Thomas and his wife Michelle Wasik, and eleven great-grandchildren including Shylize and Ilize Guzman who were particularly close to their great-grandfather, a dear niece, Gloria Carpentier, and many nieces and nephews.

Paul is predeceased by his sisters Mother Ida Martineau, S.C.O., Bertha Bouchard, Anna Martineau, Eva Taft, Irene Dubey, and Yvonne Carpentier, and brothers George, Raymond, Robert, and Alfred Martineau.
