Paul F. Linehan, Sr., a lifelong resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Anita R. (Notini) Linehan, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on March 8, 1921, he was a son of the late James J. and Theresa E. (Delaney) Linehan.
Mr. Linehan served with the United States Army during World War II, stationed in Central Europe.
He was employed by Notini and Sons of Lowell for many years as a buyer prior to his retirement. Paul enjoyed working with his hands, he was an avid woodworker. He had a love for music, both Classical and Irish.
A lifelong Communicant of St. Michael Church, he was active in the parish community as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Holy Name Society. Until his illness, he was a fixture at the 7 AM daily Mass.
Paul leaves four children, Paul F. Linehan, Jr. and his wife Linda (Boley) of Auburn, NH, Terry Gilmore and her husband Stuart of Bedford, NH, Anita M. Linehan of Woburn and James Linehan of Chelmsford; five grandchildren, Kelly, Molly and Alex Linehan, Emma and Sophie Gilmore. He was the brother of the late James J. Linehan.
