Englewood, FL - Paul E. Lamoureux, 72, of Englewood, FL passed away at home on July 12, 2014.
Paul was born on April 15, 1942, in Lowell, MA. He graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Lowell, MA then attended East Coast Aero Tech. As he pursued his career in engineering, he attended Newbury Jr. College where he earned an Associates in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management. He met the love of his life, Roberta Vieira of Lowell, MA while working in the mercantile mills along the Merrimack River. They married on Nov. 4, 1962 and settled in Tyngsboro, MA, later designing and building his own home in Hudson, NH where they raised their two children. Paul was a successful businessman who rose through the ranks at Sanders Associates in Manchester, NH, Loral Corporation in Chelmsford, MA then traveling extensively both internationally and within the US for L-3 Communications including living for several years in Ankara, Turkey and Newport Beach, CA. He retired from L-3 five years ago as Vice President of Facilities. Paul was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing on his boat in the Gulf and hunting in the woods of NH, Vermont and Canada. Paul had an amazing work ethic, boundless intellectual curiosity and a friendly sense of humor which led him to connect to people in all walks of life. Throughout their travels, Paul has established friendships all over the world with friends who will miss his smile and presence. He was especially proud of being a grandfather and loved to show his grandchildren how to fish, camp and experience new adventures. He gave them his most precious gift of time and passed on his curiosity of motors, engines and buildings.
Paul is survived by his wife, Roberta Lamoureux of Englewood, FL, his two children, Robert Lamoureux of Laconia, NH and Michelle Gould of Redwood City, CA and his 3 grandchildren, Robin Lamoureux, Ian Gould and Mikala Gould. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delphis and Aurore (Bisson) Lamoureux, his father-in-law, Manual Vieira and his mother-in-law, Claire (Dusseault) Vieira.
