OBITUARY
LOWELL - Paul F. Keyes, 86, a Lowell resident, formerly residing in the Highlands section of the city, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in a local nursing home. He was the husband of Jeannette (Langlais) Keyes, with whom he was married for 49 years.
Born in Chelmsford on February 12, 1921, he was a son of the late Thomas and Hazel (Mallory) Keyes.
He was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1938, and he attended the Lowell Commercial College.
Mr. Keyes served with the United States Navy during World War II from April of 1942 until April of 1946.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Keyes was the owner/operator of Keyes Fire Equipment in Lowell. He had previously worked for the Highland Chair Service.
He was a member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks and a was Past Exalted Ruler.
Mr. Keyes loved music and was an accomplished saxophone player. He was a member of the Lowell Musicians Association, Vesper Country Club and the Lafayette Club.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister and her husband, Eunice and Raymond Soucy of Sebastian, FL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert H. and Pearl Langlais of Pelham, NH, Lorraine and Lucien Latulippe and Therese and Theodore Vecchione, all of Lowell as well as several nieces and nephews.
