LOWELL - Paul E. Couillard, 91, of Lowell and formerly of Dracut died Friday, August 10, 2018 at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. He was the beloved husband of the late Lauria M. (Hebert) Couillard who died in 2015. They were married for 66 years.
He was born in Lowell on September 29, 1926, the son of the late Leo J. and Clarina (Moisan) Couillard. He was educated in Lowell schools.
Paul was a proud member of the United States Navy serving in the Pacific during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he was a long-time employee of the Raytheon Company as a supervisor.
Paul cherished the time spent in the company of his family. He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports on television, and spending time at the beach. He also enjoyed gatherings with his friends at the Saab Residence.
He is survived by two daughters: Michelle Wilmer and her husband Ken of Westford, and Susan Reid of Lowell; three grandchildren: Jennifer Ouellette and her husband Matt of Manchester, NH, Jessica Jones and her husband Donald Jones, Jr. of Lowell, and Meredith Lee and her husband Francis of Dracut; three great grandchildren: Ryan Jones, Jackson Lee, and Brynleigh Ouellette; a sister, Jeanne (Langlois) Perras of Watervliet, NY; a brother-in-law, Titus Plomaritis of Pelham, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond Couillard.
ARRANGEMENTS - It being his request, visiting hours will be omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday August 17 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut. Committal Services will be offered in St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may made in Paul's memory to the Denise M. Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Ste.
