Paul Henry Cornellier

Paul Henry Cornellier, widower of Janice (Grady) Cornellier, a resident of Amesbury, formerly a longtime Dracut resident, died on Wednesday January 4, 2012 following a period of declining health.
Paul was born in Dracut on April 30, 1936, the son of the late Valmore and Mary (Ouellette) Cornellier. He resided in Dracut most of his life until he moved to Merrimac and then Amesbury a few years ago.
He served in the US Navy from 1955 until 1957.
While living in Dracut, Paul was employed by the town as an intermittent police officer. A job he cherished.
Prior to his retirement he was employed at the EN Rogers Veterans Administration Hospital as a grounds and transportation foreman. He then went to work for the Internal Revenue Service as an armed guard.
Paul's favorite pastime was watching NASCAAR.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Kevin and Lucy Cornellier of Merrimac; four grandchildren, Heather and Taylor Cornellier of Nashua, NH, Eric Cornellier of Dracut and Kristen Perry of Bradford. He was also the father of the late Brian Cornellier.
