Paul A. Charbonneau, age 72, a lifelong resident of Dracut died Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Jill A. (Levesque) Charbonneau, to whom he was married for 53 years.
He was born in Lowell on September 27, 1950, and was a son of the late Arthur C. and Lucille I. (Dupuis) Charbonneau. He received his education in Dracut schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School, class of 1968.
Prior to his retirement as sergeant, Paul proudly served on the Dracut Police Department for 35 years.
In his free time he enjoyed farming and landscaping. His greatest joy however, was spending time in the company of his loving family, especially his adoring grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra A. and Michael Bryan of Tewksbury and Debra A. and Mark Cabral of Lowell; his two grandchildren, Meghan Messer of Dracut and Jake Messer of Tewksbury; his brother Robert Charbonneau; his three sisters, Jacqueline Soyden, Lucille Kleczkowski and Denise Mercier; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paul’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Monday, July 31st from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Burial will be private.
